1. Consideration of the indication by the treating pediatric oncologist.
  2. Contacting PTC – it is necessary to send the epicrisis, the results of staging examinations and imaging methods, information about the treatment protocol.
  3. It is also optimal to send data from imaging examinations to the PTC network via ePACS. A dropbox is set up for foreign patients without access to ePACS.
  4. The patient’s finding will be evaluated by a PTC radiation oncologist within 3-7 days and the referring physician will receive a response within 7 days. If necessary, we will ask for further information.
  5. Sending documentation to Motol University Hospital – PTC works closely with the Department of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology, Motol University Hospital, whether in the form of hospitalization or outpatient check-ups of treated children, or administration of concomitant systemic therapy, resolution of complications, etc. For this reason, their agreement is necessary before the final acceptance of the patient for treatment.
  6. Provision of all administrative documents performed by PTC (for Czech and foreign patients).
  7. After the treatment is approved by the health insurance company (when it applies), the patient is invited to an initial consultation, which usually happens on the same day of radiotherapy planning.
